Q&A with Dane Joseph
Q: What brought you to Mosaic?
A: I was 11 or 12 and was looking up auditions in the newspaper and saw it listed. Had no idea what it was but went to the audition, but it was such a fun experience that I knew I had to be down.
Q: What’s the most impactful thing you learned/gained from participating in Mosaic?
A: That art has the power to heal and transform. So many stories of members and audience members who were forever changed by the work we created as kids. That inspires me to this day.
Q: What are you up to now? Is there anything about your Mosaic experience you carry with you in your work? In life?
A: Currently I’m the Vice President of Unscripted Series for Hulu, where I oversee the development and production of the Hulu Originals unscripted series slate. Only the best and nothing less is something I literally think about every day in every aspect of my life and work.
Q: What, if any, difference/impact has Mosaic made in Detroit? In the world?
A: Mosaic is a source of pride within the city and globally. It’s proof that Detroit is now, was, and will forever be a world class creative capital.

A: Please keep doing this amazing work. Your changing lives and history with every rehearsal and performance you do.
