Q&A with Antione Christopher Taylor
Q: What brought you to Mosaic?
A: I joined mosaic my 10th grade year of High School because I was in search of an acting program that was dedicated to teaching and uplifting the youth. I always wanted to be a part of mosaic since my 8th grade year, so once giving the opportunity to join, I took advantage of everything mosaic had to offer.
Q: What’s the most impactful thing you learned/gained from participating in Mosaic?
A: The most impactful thing I gain from Mosaic is my Leadership skills. Mosaic pushed me to go outside of my comfort zone on multiple occasions to develop my skills and become a better me. At Mosaic I was able to be a Student Liaison and a part of the next stage program where I was able to develop my abilities of being self-motivated and a leader inside of the ensemble.
Q: What are you up to now? Is there anything about your Mosaic experience you carry with you in your work? In life?
A: I’m currently in the process of relocating from Michigan to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue my dreams in the entertainment industry. My hopes are to focus on television film. Right now, I’m currently acting, writing, producing, directing, and even modeling! All great skills I learned from Mosaic.
Q: What, if any, difference/impact has Mosaic made in Detroit? In the world?
A: Mosaic breads generations of talented individuals from Detroit while giving them opportunities to follow their dreams and shed light on their talent at the same time. I’m forever thankful for mosaic youth theater and the major role it played on my life. Mosaic helped craft and shape the man that I am today.
