Q&A with Jurnee Marie
Q: What brought you to Mosaic?
A: I came to Mosaic for the summer camp to enhance my acting skills and I liked it so much, I decided to try out for the Junior Ensemble.
Q: Can you share a specific moment or experience at Mosaic that has had a profound impact on you?
A: I liked when Ms. Amelia helped me with my scenes personally. That helped me improve with my character, the baker, in “After Snark” this spring.
Q: How do you see the skills and knowledge you’re gaining at Mosaic translating to your future goals artistically, educationally, and professionally?
A: Working with Mosaic helps me bring more emotion to different characters. It also helps me find different ways to get into the characters to better play the different roles. Mosaic has helped me improve my acting and vocal skills, as I continue my acting career.
Q: Can you share a specific moment or experience with Mosaic that challenged you, but ultimately helped you become a stronger artist or leader?
A: I had to sing on key which was a challenge (I’m not the best singer) but being with Mosaic, I had no choice but to learn and it helped me improve my vocals a lot.
Q: Please finish the phrase “Mosaic is…”
A: …a place where you can learn, act, sing, and have fun!
