When Young Artists Lead, Communities Transform
Thirty-two years of supporting youth to excel on stage and in life. One extraordinary season of highlighting what’s possible.
Season 32 brought 613 young artists onto stages, into technical booths, and onto college campuses with unshakeable confidence. They created original works with professional directors. They visited thirteen colleges, from Spelman to Carnegie Mellon, envisioning their futures with clarity and purpose. They applied technical theater skills to build benches for Detroit bus stops, demonstrating that artists are community builders.
This year showcased the full power of partnership: youth discovering their voices, families investing in their children’s dreams, and a network of supporters opening doors to thriving futures. The results speak for themselves—97.3% college persistence, measurable growth in leadership skills, and alumni lighting up stages from Broadway to boardrooms, operating rooms to courtrooms.

FROM SHY STUDENT TO CONFIDENT LEADER
At summer camp, a reserved camper transformed through a simple “gibberish rap battle.” What started with hesitation ended with confidence, leadership, and applause. This is the Mosaic magic—creating spaces where young people step out of their shells and discover strengths they never knew they had.
These moments change trajectories.
PARENT TESTIMONIAL
“This was the most important program my son has participated in in his entire life. It not only fuels his passion for being an actor, but also includes a strong community, incredible mentors, and lifelong friendships.” — Mosaic Parent

ALUMNI EXCELLENCE: DR. JAMILAH GEORGE
This summer, Mosaic alum Dr. Jamilah R. George defended her dissertation with no revisions—a rare scientific achievement after seven years of intensive work, 20+ publications, and 2,000+ clinical hours. She credits Mosaic with teaching her the confidence, discipline, and leadership that carried her through. The arts don’t just prepare young people for the stage—they prepare them to change the world.
