The walk begins at 11 AM @ the Gratiot entrance of the Dequindre Cut and moves toward Wilkins & Orleans. The walk will then continue at 12 PM to Growing Detroit on Orleans St.
Little Amal took her first steps in Boston to start her 6,000-mile journey across America in 15 days! Along the way, Amal will stop in Detroit on Tuesday, September 26 at Elmwood Park (Gratiot entrance of Dequindre cut) at 11 AM.
Together, in partnership with University Preparatory Academy Science and Math Elementary, Detroit Waldorf School, Summers Knoll School, and Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, we will amplify her message through her incredible journey, empowering the voices of those she represents and the communities she’ll meet in Detroit.
